About Our School

Glendover sits in a quiet, residential neighborhood on a large campus that includes a walking track, tennis courts, and a playground with covered picnic tables. A major renovation was completed in August 2015, which included the addition of four classrooms, a library/media center, an enlarged and updated kitchen and cafeteria, and a more secure office suite.

Family involvement has been a key to our success, with a well-organized PTA, actively engaged parents/guardians, and volunteers who log almost 6,000 volunteer hours each year. Our SBDM Council has been in place since 1994. SBDM committees are open to parents and teachers.

Glendover provides students with many extra-curricular opportunities. Programs include Chorus, STLP, Lexington Children's Theatre Workshops, and Girls on the Run. We also have multiple music programs throughout the year (Chorus, Band, Orchestra), and International Night with a Parade of Nations, and Book Fair Nights. The Glendover Basketball League attracts families from all over Lexington.
